Sedef Erçetin Gencosmanoglu, currently serving as the Head of International Cooperation at one of Turkey's oldest and largest NGOs specializing in public health. She holds a Master's in International Affairs and Management from the University of Bologna, Italy, and Bachelor's degrees from METU in Ankara, Turkey.
In addition to leading the international office team and serving as a key liaison for various international organizations, including UN bodies and other INGOs, Sedef holds the role of General Coordinator for the Annual Forums on "Women’s Forum on Addiction and Recovery" and "Youth Advocacy." Her responsibilities include the development of new strategies and systems, infrastructure, reporting, and procedures for initiatives, including accreditation and status applications.
Sedef has been a leadership member of the European Association of International Education (EAIE) since 2018. She is also a board member of EURAD and a member of WFAD's Global Gender Group. Proficient in strategy, governance, fundraising, and communication, she drives sustainable programs aligned with the SDGs, particularly in health, gender equity, addiction, and recovery.
Her earlier professional experiences involved working on the internationalization of higher education institutions. She focused on partnership and program development for students and staff, managed mobility programs, and coordinated funding initiatives. Sedef has a proven track record of enhancing funding, operational efficiency, mobility, and satisfaction rates.
